Acupuncture for Pain Relief in Canberra

Pain Relief Through Classical Chinese Acupuncture

Welcome to The Body Lab, where acupuncture isn’t some mysterious energy zap — it’s a precision tool for relieving pain,

restoring balance, and helping you move better.

I’m Riccardo Galeotti, and I use acupuncture for one reason: to treat pain.

If you’re dealing with…

  • Persistent back or neck pain

  • Sciatica or nerve irritation

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Shoulder, hip, or knee discomfort

  • Chronic muscular tension

  • Injuries that just won’t heal

…then this is for you.

A simple line drawing of a person holding their neck, with lines indicating pain, and the words 'Neck pain' below.
A minimalist line drawing of a person with back pain, holding their lower back with one hand, with wavy lines indicating pain, and the text 'Back pain' underneath.
Line drawing of two feet with arches labeled as flat feet or high arches.
A drawing of a foot with lightning bolts indicating pain, labeled 'Foot pain'.

Why Acupuncture for Pain?

Acupuncture works by calming your nervous system, increasing blood flow,

and releasing muscle tension — without masking the problem.

This isn’t about just poking points and hoping for magic.

It’s about:

✔️ Targeting real pain patterns

✔️ Using classical Chinese medicine principles

✔️ Combining acupuncture with movement therapy (when needed)

✔️ Helping your body do what it was built to do: heal

How It’s Different at The Body Lab

Most clinics offer acupuncture as an add-on. Here, it’s a treatment strategy that’s:

  • Rooted in classical Chinese theory

  • Informed by modern pain science

  • Blended with biomechanics, cranial work, and movement for a whole-body approach

If you’re used to dry needling or modern “point and poke” approaches, this is different. More thoughtful. More effective. Less “stabby.”

What I Treat (Spoiler: It’s All Pain)

Let’s be clear: I don’t treat fertility, digestion, hormones, or sleep.

I treat pain.

Especially:

  • Chronic musculoskeletal pain

  • Post-injury pain or nerve irritation

  • Tension headaches and migraines

  • Joint pain (knee, hip, ankle, shoulder)

  • Pelvic or sacroiliac discomfort

  • Foot and postural pain linked to gait or biomechanics
